Did you know that it's physiologically impossible to do that?
Think of a steak...(yum)
no matter how many miles that cow walked around that pasture,
the fat on the cow will never "TURN INTO" meat.
But...you can BURN OFF fat and build muscle.
Many women are afraid they'll "bulk up" if they build muscle. Not to worry - it's hard enough for men to bulk-up and they have much more of the natural hormones necessary.
Since muscle weighs more than fat, many women worry they'll look bigger. You can see from this picture, it's just the opposite.
Since a picture is worth a thousand words, here's a picture of 5 lbs of muscle vs. fat of the same weight (you can see "the real thing" on line to see that the ratio is accurate). Notice 5 lbs of fat is three times bigger. One pound of fat burns 4 calories per day while one pound of muscle burns 50 calories per day. Muscle burns more calories even when you're sleeping.
This means that if you were to build 5 lbs of muscle and lose 5 lbs of fat, you would weight exactly the same, but look smaller and firmer. (Think about it, if you were really toned and you weighed 200 lbs, but you looked good in a size 4 jeans (or a 28" waist for the guys), would you really care what the scale says?).
You will lose fat inches when exercising, but not have a change in scale weight so it's important to take your measurements or have a piece of clothing to use as a gauge of progress in addition to just the scale.
Hope
