Happy Memorial Day!

Unfortunately, today I don't have a blog.

I've been under the weather the last few days.

As soon as I am better, I will make a Memorial Day blog.  I had some amazing recipes to share.

I hope everyone had a safe and great Memorial Day.

See you next time,

Hope

A friend of mine is graduating soon
and I wanted to bake something for her.

Was thinking about making a cupcake with a graduation cap on it, but wasn't sure
on how to execute that plan, since I have never done graduation events before.
Well, not bake anything for them.

So, I found something very inspirational for exactly what I was looking for.

Why not?

Looks super easy.

If I can bake, anyone can bake.

I'll make a note to even write a blog about the times I have
lost track of time or even been so busy I completely forgot
about anything being in the oven.

I even have pictures of what NOT to do.

Baby Cakes

Hi Everyone!

I was asked a few months ago to make some cupcakes for a local high school to help with a fundraiser.

Well, I accepted that challenge.  Taking a chance.  Why not?

Well...

 This is how it began.

At the top is vanilla cake with nutella frosting, then chocolate cake with cherry (very cherry) frosting, and red velvet cake with cheese cake frosting with red sprinkles on top.

I started out slow, since I was taking a chance.

Except, after those were done, I wanted to make more.

From the top: chocolate cake (no frosting yet - ended up having choc frosting),
red velvet with cheese cake frosting with red sprinkles (more),
vanilla cake with Oreo pieces and vanilla frosting also with Oreo pieces,
chocolate cake with the very cherry frosting (more),
and vanilla cake with raspberry filling with vanilla (tinted pink with food coloring) frosting.

After bringing them to the school, I was told which sold the best at the end of the night.

:::AND THE WINNERS ARE:::

Triple Chocolate, Raspberry Dream, and Nutella!!!

So, since then, I have been making many MANY many cupcakes for such events,
hardly use store brand frosting (learned to make my own), I have never been to any culinary school or adult education class to learn how to do any of this.

See you next time,

Hi Everyone!  I'm Hope Jennings.

I make homemade sweets.  I make numerous amounts of cupcakes, whoopie pies, cookies, cake balls (some people call them cake pops - I don't need the lollipop sticks), etc.  Although, from a aroma in my house, I only have one or two bites.

I try to be as festive as I can.  I don't have any culinary school training.  Most stuff I make is pretty easy, but very good.

I will try to get pictures posted in a timely manner, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

See you next time,

Hope
